Music Education and Experience
1983 – Piano with local teacher
1987 – 1994 – Trombone in Effingham County School Bands
1993 – Georgia All State Band (Trombone)
1994 – 1995 Georgia All State Band, Principal Trombone in High School Wind Ensemble, John Philip Sousa Award Recipient, University of Georgia Redcoat Band, University of Georgia Trombone Choir
2012 – Studied with composer and arranger William Locklear
2013 – Choir conductor for Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Alpharetta, Ga.
2014 – Premiere of symphonic composition for Band and Choir, American Heritage
2016 – Premiere of symphonic composition, Dreamflight
2016 – Music coordinator and choir director for Veterans Day Celebration at The Home Depot Corporate Headquarters. American Heritage featured at celebration.
2017 – Commissioned to write work for Low Brass Collective At The University of North Georgia by Dr. Adam Frey . In Memoriam was premiered at the University of North Georgia and performed at the International Tuba and Euphonium Conference Gala Concert.
Ben holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems (1999) and an MBA (2007) from The University of Georgia.
